Where do I meet new people? My warm market is tapped out

When building an organization you currently have a warm market which is considered people who you already know possibly friends and family and some business colleges you do business with or that do business with you. These are people who already know you personally or they love you and are familiar with your character. So why is it that when asked to create an Inventory list of people who you know most people will begin to draw blanks and the first thing they say is I don’t know anyone?

The reason for this is because the new or old business partner have already qualified or disqualified the person their mind and have either put them in or have taken them out of the opportunity and quite frankly that is rather selfish of you to do that. Is it all just about you now? So the more you think about yourself the more successful you think you are going to be? Here are several places that you can meet new people and build long-lasting friendships, and I think you should explore them.

  1. Join Community Service – A group like toastmasters that will help you build up your speaking skills and also meet new and like individuals that are speakers and potential leaders. Don’t be put off because you feel you are not a great speaker. Why do you think everyone else is there? To improve their speaking skills.
  2. Join a Gym – As the new year enters there are many people who want to get fit and stay fit. So why not get in the gym and make some new friends?
  3. Get involved in school Organizations – If you have a passion for helping others, or you have a child in school Get involved. There is no better way than to meet other parents that are on the same wave length as you are. Many of them are stay at home parents and are looking for ways to supplement their income, You may have the solution. And the help is always appreciated.
  4. Join a Church group – You must do this for the right reasons, not to just prospect and find new people for your business. As you become more involved in your Church most people will automatically ask you what you do. Then its your time to let them know what you do. Build Christ centered friendships and share your business with others, don’t be selfish and keep it to yourself.
  5. Volunteer for charity work – Do you know the types of people who you will meet in these groups? People that are dedicated to a cause. If they eventually are interested in what you do, they will be dedicated to their own business and most likely will be one of your best Business partners.

There are a ton more places to meet new people its just up to you to open your mouth and share the blessing that you have with others. It’s truly not about you, it’s about how many people you can help and bless through your organization. How many people do you know that are struggling to make ends meet? Do you think an additional $500 per month could help. I bet so.

All you truly need to do is SMILE and speak to other people. Be genuine and don’t have a goal in mind of getting everyone you meet into your business. It will be all over your face, so make sure you build genuine relationships, not just relationships based on what YOU need for your business.

Always remember, the more people who you help become successful, your success will become evident.

Question: What other places have you met people who have joined your organization?

Answer: outside of your front door. I think people in sales have a hard time remembering that you have the potential to meet so many prospects while your out and about. I have talked to so many people about my blog by just putting on a smile and starting a conversation.

Yes Dan, I say the exact same thing. Sometimes we get lost looking for the bright shiny object or that new partner or sale that is so far away from outside your front door like you said. Imagine if we keep playing there, how many people will be knocking on the front door.
