What is God asking you to do that may cost you something?

What is God asking you to do?

God is asking you to do something but you are not listening. Be honest you are trying to run your business, live your life, get answers to a burning question or something and you are trying to do it all alone. I want to give you a message that had me thinking today about if what I am doing is honoring GOD. We must be still.

As an Entrepreneur and business Leader you know it’s all about the bottom line and you need to make ends meet in order to feed your family right? So do you believe that you should take matters into your own hands or wait on GOD’s word? What if while your waiting your company is failing then what should you do? Take action or continue to wait?

Well I believe that GOD wants me to help people, and LOTS of them what does he want for you? I was placed in the Network Marketing arena for a reason and that was to bless many people who truly need a blessing. To Lead an organization with Godly principles and to live a passionate life that others can see and follow.  So this begs me to ask this question…

What is God asking you to do that may cost you something?

What is it that GOD is asking you to do that may cost you more than you know? It may make you feel like you are losing the battle, it may make you feel like you are not going to win at all. What is it? For me, I had to wait on Gods voice to tell me what I was doing was right. He wants me to bless as many people as possible, and it may not be financially, it may be via life lessons, via experiences. I had dreams of becoming a professional Athlete at one time just like how

Me and my Nephew Kyle on Friday

My nephew Kyle is pursuing this same passion I had as a youth. However, that dream came to a screeching halt when circumstances led me to leave College at the time and walk away from that sports opportunity for good. I was left asking GOD why me? Why now? Little did I know he would have other plans for me.

Here are three Key Times for Crisis of Faith

Transition – When we are going through a transition from a Job loss, or Marital problems, or Financial problems, this is usually one of the times we need to have BIG FAITH.

Trial – You know you are going to face a trial that is going to beat you down, but this is another time when faith needs to step in big time.
Temptation – You will be tempted to do something as we are human, but will you act on it. In my business I could buy people into my Organization, I could make up false numbers, It’s so easy to do. However, who will that hurt in the long run. What about you?

What is God asking you to do that may cost you something?

Here are some  steps I took in having to Give up my dream of playing professional sports;
1. Don’t second guess – We must never second Guess God. I asked him why me, why now. I had to listen to the voice that was calling me and I had to listen and you should too.

2. When it costs you something are you willing to follow me? – A question that I had to ask myself over and over again. I could have been on a professional sports team and every time I looked at a sport I grew weary. However, GOD had a different plan for me. He will ask you are you willing to give up YOUR own selfish plan to follow me?

3. Give up something – GOD is going to ask you to give up something HUGE. Something you love that you think is where you are supposed to be. You must be obedient and listen.

4. Don’t Follow your own agenda-  Follow his. The agenda that you have personally, you need to throw it out. There are two roads that you can take at that fork in the road, which will you choose?

If GOD is calling you from where you are now, no matter your profession, passion or Business you need to stop listen and pray so that you can hear his voice in the Clutter called the Internet and Social Media.

Question: What is GOD asking you to do that may cost you something?

Great post Lincoln, it reminds me of the first part of the book we are going to study “The Cost of Discipleship” when it talks about cheap grace. The world, and sadly the church, likes to cheapen God’s grace. Following God will cost us something, but in the end what we give up pales in comparison with all His wonderful blessings.

TC I can’t wait to get into the series with you. This was a powerful message and I want to be able to spread it. I think it’s where my passions are staying true to GOD in business. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the reminder Lincoln. Too many times we want what we want and we want it now. it never really works out when we try to force our way instead of His will!

Kimanzi who are you telling. It’s hard for all of us to make sure even if we see some success to give it back to him. I struggle with this as I see success and results. I like to stay transparent.

    Great thoughts Lincoln.

Our commitment to live for and follow God is not real commitment until it’s tested, is it.

God’s road always tends to go further than we anticipate :)

But to those that are willing, He is remains patient, giving the grace to do according to His will.

    Thanks for this reminder today.

Ngina, standing still and focusing in quiet time reveals this for me. We are so impatient when things don’t go how we plan. Thanks for stopping by and joining in.

This is a great question everyone should frequently ask themselves. I believe God has called me to use my writing and knowledge on leadership to help others. This takes time and energy though and is some times hard to do. But the price is worth moving forward in my calling. Great reminder and post.
