The Network Marketing Mindset

Most people discount Network Marketing and don’t treat it like the Billion dollar industry that it is because so many people decide to jump in and just “give it a try“, this is the wrong mindset to have. So many people believe in a product or service and believe that they have what it takes to become a business owner, However they are not aware of the mindset you need to have in order to succeed?

Your growth as a Network Marketer comes from what you read, write, listen to, speak and who you associate with. Understanding these principles will prepare you for your Network Marketing journey that lies ahead. Too many times the excitement of the opportunity and the dreams of walking the stage with thousands in your organization clouds our thought process and leave us focusing on the wrong things. I want to point out 5 things that you need to focus on that will put you in the right frame of mind to succeed in Network Marketing.

As a Network marketer your journey from new business owner to successful business builder can take some time depending on your life’s experiences at the present time. You are going to need to gain the necessary skills that you lacking in order to take your business to the next level. It all begins with belief in the industry;

  1. You must believe in Network Marketing – This is at the top of the list. You must believe in the industry or else you are already out of the game. If you only believe wholeheartedly and when someone asks you, “Is this MLM or Network Marketing?” you don’t hide that fact that you are in this industry. You know what I say?  Yes, this is Network Marketing / MLM and if it wasn’t I would run far away from it. You must learn to be proud of your Industry. Guess what? Only the broke and skeptical are afraid to say so.
  2.

  3. You must have a positive mental Attitude – This is critical to your success in Network Marketing. If you don’t have a positive mental attitude towards what you are doing, the negativity starts to creep in and then you will eventually start to find faults with the company and your organization Leader and eventually more than not you will be out of the game for good. You may say that you are just taking a break from it all, but in most cases you are officially done. According to Napoleon Hill the best way to start your morning off is to have a 1 minute hearty laughter. Just wake up and start to smile and laugh. This will change the chemical imbalance and create a positive mental attitude.
  4.

  5. You must stay far away from Negative people – Avoid them like the plague and decease ridden person that they are. Have you realized that the most negative people are those that are broke, over worked, and those that feel trapped and don’t know what to do about it. They are the MOST negative people in the world and there are a handful of them in the world. In Network Marketing, they just seem to move around allot. Don’t allow someone that is not living like you would like to live dictate your destiny. It will work, you first have to believe it.
  6.

  7. You must focus on the Big Picture – Big  picture thinking is critical also in your journey as a Network marketer. Too many people focus on the glitz and the glamor of it all and get caught up in the hype of Network Marketing and loose focus. Stop focusing on getting rich Quick and focus on building others, and providing value for others. Focus on in the long run (I mean 3 to 5 years), you will have created a leveraged army that works in unison for one common goal. Time Freedom! The problem is MOST network marketers have the Get Rich Quick mindset, the Lottery mentality and that is a mindset destined for failure in this industry.
  8.

  9. You must not dwell on the past – Too many people live in the past, and through the disasters of someone else. Most people always ask, Well how much money are you making? This question is due to the part that they have a low self esteem and don’t believe that they can do anything with the business. Or most people get advice from their broke uncle/aunt or family member concerning their bad attempt at Network Marketing and they take on those beliefs for themselves. If you in the qualifying stage this may be a time to disqualify that person unless they can change their attitude quickly.

Remember, you can disqualify people from working with you. You ultimately choose who you work with. Remember, they need what you have and by Qualifying them in the first place, you are eliminating about 75% of the problems you will have in your business.

Question: What’s been your experience with Network Marketing? Did you really give it any effort?
