The 6 Habits of Professionals

Many of us are Amateurs in the things that we do and the Business that we run and that means that we will not be compensated for anything that we do. In business the idea is to make sure that you generate an income that can more than sustain you and your family. So why do most people remain in the Amateur ranks and only a few become professional? It’s because they don’t practice these 6 habits.

  1. Creating Dreams and Goals
  2. Cultivating the right thoughts and actions
  3. Renewing your spirit and Appreciating blessings
  4. Letting go of rejections
  5. Having Courage
  6. Professional Perseverance

The key to making sure that we are professional is making sure that we follow these 6 habits. I practice these daily and its not easy to follow them myself, but because I am building an organization of Professional Entrepreneurs we need to make sure that we are on the right track to reaching all of our goals professionally.

Amateur Ranks = (No Compensation)

Professionals = (Compensation)

Also this does not only pertain to money, but your compensation could be the gratification of an event, person or arrival at a place in your life. So as you go out today, make sure that you ask yourself if you are practicing professional behaviors.

Question: In what ways do you practice professional Habits?

Our Vision Statement : To help others market themselves online, and build GOD focused Organizations, by creating a tribe of passionate Network Marketing Entrepreneurs that love the Lord, their families, and others.

You just hit the nail on the head Lincoln. The first time i heard that the difference between professionals and amateurs is that professionals get paid for their work and amateurs don’t, i really got riled up!

    Now i know why!

It’s because i believe that monetary rewards cannot really be the only gauge for professionalism – you can get ‘paid’ in many other ways.

I know this is probably covered in the post but I try and change my habits to agree with my goals. When I line up goals and but have no intentions of changing some of my habits to suit the goal, i will not get there at all.

Ngina, yes I learned some of that from famous Leaders out there that create a living helping others realize their dreams.

You are correct, its not only literal Money that is the reward, its apart of it. Its getting paid by blessing someone else and seeing their gratification.

You are in alignment when you have your habits and goals in the same place. Thank you for sharing that.

Great points. I had to learn to let go of rejections. I would try to figure out why this person rejected what I was saying or doing. I spent too much time focused on a couple of people that rejected what I had instead of the many that enjoyed it and received something from it. I have learned being around true professionals, they don’t allow rejections to take their eyes off the ultimate prize.

Bernard isn’t it just the hardest thing to do? You are correct, one rejection after the other does not stop a professional. Like John Maxwell always says we have to continue to fail forward no matter the rejection.

Great points Lincoln, I make sure that everything I’m doing online is as a pro. I’m making progress everyday and one day I’ll be fully pro! Thanks for the reminder.

    Great points.
We must learn from our mistakes and keep pressing forward. Our minds are powerful weapons. Learning to take our thoughts captive and reject negativity and lies is essential. It will help keep us moving forward.

The thing is TC many people are rejected by their own smiley members which is unfortunate. ITs so easy to be negative, which is why we keep focused on our goals.

      • http://tcavey.blogspot.com/ TCAvey

it’s sad when those who should build us up tear us down. Good reason to focus on the only one who Always has our backs- God. He will keep us joyfully on task if we keep our eyes on Him. He has our best in mind and wants us to accomplish our goals. He builds us up!

You are so right TC, which is why I constantly tell everyone I come in contact with to expect negativity from others but don’t allow it to affect you, but to focus on Gods strength.
