Network Marketing Warheads

If you have already read “Your first Year in Network Marketing” by Mark & Renee Yarnell you will know he speaks about these very topics in that book. Many Leaders face this with their teams and need to make sure that they are prepared to handle the objections of new representatives. Well what are warheads anyway? Well, they are objections between you and your business partners, either outwardly verbalized or internal verbalization.

So in my own words, I’m going to tell you exactly how I handle each of these warheads.

  1. Lack of Conviction – When speaking about your business to someone else, you must believe in the product or service of your company. If you speak with a Lack of Enthusiasm or lack of conviction, nobody will join your business, and it’s just the truth. However, if you don’t believe in your business, or product you should NEVER lie or trick anyone into joining an organization just so that you can have personal gain. Personally I never speak to people whom I feel my products or services won’t benefit. However, when I do speak to people in person, I’m always passionate and animated about my products and services, and its only because I 100% believe they will help EVERY and ANYONE breathing. Honestly, you just can’t communicate without them, most people have them, but just hadn’t figured out how to get paid from them.
  2. Lack of Self esteem – Most people (The Majority), are just intimidated by others when speaking about their business. Either, they are ashamed to be involved in Network Marketing, or they just don’t feel they are confident enough to approach people about their business because of the fear of rejection. The reason why this should be an opposite feeling is because most of those same people who you Don’t decide to mention your business to, you may meet them later on down the road already in that same business, and ask you WHY you never told them about the possibility of making 20-30K per month, with no discrimination of promotions. How about working 40 years of your life in Corporate America, but working 3 years Part-Time REALLY hard to make that type of money? Now would you approach that person? So what if they say no..Who cares? Only you and your feelings.
  3. Fear of Losing Credibility – Most reps want to postpone or put off the fact that they are involved in Network Marketing. Why? I have no clue.. In what Industry can you invest in a business when you can have no prior experience and in a few years be making income that only Brain Surgeons make? No clue.. If you doubt the fact that you are in this industry, many of the people you speak with will also pick up on your FEAR and that’s only spelling disaster for you. If you don’t create a story immediately out of the gate in your first few months in your business, it will be extremely hard to overcome setbacks. Now, some people may be in positions of stature like Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, and they feel that they are going to be shunned by their peers if they mention their business. However, most of these people have a lack of FREE TIME, they work almost 8hrs a week, with no time to spend with family. Why would you not want to mention that they could free up their time tremendously? Just speak up my friends, you will be surprised by the answers you receive.
  4. Embarrassment from Prior Failure – Most people won’t approach their warm market because most have already been in some sort of MLM before and have failed because of lack good coaching or mentoring. But the most likely reason of failure in Network Marketing is because of rejection and lack of determination and focusing on the goals. Just because someone has failed or tried MLM prior does not mean that they will not try again. Here is an approach that I love from the book. You can let them know that you have been in prior businesses before and failed, however, it was a learning experience. Now, you truly have learned from your mistakes and know how to capitalize on them with your new company.
  5. Qualifying your Leads – Do you dismiss prospects because you feel that they either can’t afford your opportunity, or you just feel like they are not qualified at all. The key is never to qualify ANYONE and to make sure you speak to them about your opportunity because anyone can make it to the top in MLM, it just takes a burning desire to succeed and a no quit attitude. From the single mother on welfare, to the Rich family that’s living pay check to pay check and have more Month at the end of their money. Never disqualify anyone because you never know where your Next super star will come from.

So if you have been struggling with some of these topics, or your team has been struggling with some of these topics please make sure that you send them this information so that they can read up on this information. How will you make this week different from the last? Will you go out in your business and finally make something happen? Lets make it a great week!

Question: Do you feel like you have stepped on some of these warheads?
