Jamaica Missions Trip – 4 ways to find your Passion and purpose

Jamaica Missions with Purpose and Passion

4 ways to find your Passion and Purpose though Missions.

Everyone is searches for their purpose and passion at some point in their lives. And most likely a high percentage of people around the world never realize their purpose and are not really passionate about anything at all. When I was a teenager my passions were all selfish because they were all about me and were really self-serving. However, here are two teenagers and Batman that are passionate about serving in some capacity in missions and I want to introduce you to Michael and Ariel. You will see through their passion how to discover your own purpose. These two young people are apart of my small group at Relevant Church in Locust Grove GA. They have been for a few years now and I have to say they have been growing up before my eyes. I remember when I was 19/20 I literally had no idea what I wanted to do and what my purpose was, but these two do. They want to serve in missions and we have the opportunity to help them make it a reality. Michael and Ariel are looking go to go on their first missions trip this May to Jamaica do so some great work that they are being called to do and who are we to question them? I know many people have tried to discourage their passion to serve I’m sure, but I am so happy that they are moving forward with it with God sized purpose. Here are 4 things that I see in them, that allowed them to take on this Giant.

  1. Have tunnel vision – Many people will try to discourage you from doing great things for God. Don’t allow them to do so.
  2. It has to be bigger than you – When discovering your passion and purpose it needs to be much bigger than you. If you have selfish motives it won’t last long.
  3. You must be prepared for Battle – When David was preparing for his eventual slaying of Goliath he was preparing by protecting the sheep. Little did anyone know the mundane tasks that David did, was preparing him for a Giant sized battle and he was already prepared.
  4. Seek God’s will by praying – You must pray daily to hear from God. If you are not praying but expect something to happen for you, then you are truly not seeking his will for your life.

As Entrepreneurs we should be continuously looking for the mission that is bigger than us and will allow us to finally find our passion and our purpose.

So Michael and Ariel need your help to attend this missions Trip. Will you help them? —-> Go here to Support them in any way.

Question: Are you working in your Purpose area? If not what is holding you back?

This is great Lincoln, to see young people who want to step outside of their comfort zone and serve the Lord in the process? That’s fabulous! I’ll be giving a few dollars :)

I’m so impressed with young people that seek God’s truth first before themselves. It’s a rare thing in this generation and the ones past.

I’m working in my passion areas, I just need to make sure I keep balance… no easy task for people like us!

Thanks for your support and I’m praying for Michael and Ariel.

Thanks for the opportunity to give and pray for those serving in the mission field.

Your post reminds me of a comment by one of my bloggers about how the mission field and how even Christians tried to discourage them for serving to those in other countries.

Absolutely TC. Yes, we do know that most people are not really thinking when they say things like that. Doing something in the name of God is great and never wrong. Thank you so much for sharing.

A person’s purpose/calling always requires other people (A team). God calls us to do big things that requires help from others. Great post!
