Atmosphere of Excellence

Create an Atmosphere of Excellence

Create an Atmosphere of Excellence

When you as a Leader are creating a culture or an environment sometimes not everyone that you want in your space will be able to continue to remain in your space because of the environment that you are creating for yourself and your team. Sometimes not everyone can keep up with how change happens and how rapidly it happens and some people will eventually prune themselves because they can’t handle the atmosphere.

Building a team and creating a culture and environment can and will be challenging for you as a Leader and we as Emerging Leaders need to make sure that we are prepared to Lead on all aspects and from different angles with different people. Now in Network Marketing we build teams and with that you run into many different personalities and since my wife and I had created our Life Plan, we have decided that we are only going to work with a certain type of person. When creating the environment for excellence you need to determine how and when you are going to work. What type of Leader will you be? How will you allow your time to be managed?

Here are some traits of people we attract to us;

  1. God Fearing Individuals – You must have GOD at the center or trying to make him #1 in your life. (We are creating our team focus around this)
  2. Constantly Improving – Individuals that want to constantly grow and get better every single day and improve on the skills that are lacking where you need to get better on.
  3. Humility/ Team Player – We said that we will not want to work with someone who is full of themselves and put themselves over the team. You must absolutely be a team player and someone who puts the team first.
  4. Atmosphere Changer – This is someone who gets the culture and wants to not only improve the team chemistry, but wants to be a major contributor to the teams overall success.

So my wife and I sat down and mapped out the type of people that we are willing to work with and want to work with. Now, will it always be perfect? No, we are not trying to create a perfect environment but we are creating our culture and atmosphere and want to make sure that we only partner with individuals that believe in the bigger goal and good of the entire group.

So what happens when the Atmosphere for Excellence begins to change?

  1. People usually leave – When you have someone who is not a good fit for the environment, they usually find some fault and eventually weed themselves out and leave.
  2. People usually stay – The people who are used to an environment of Excellence and only want to improve the environment and they usually end up staying and improving the atmosphere.
  3. People will succeed – Those that want to rise to the occasion and love to be pushed in an environment that keeps them uncomfortable, but learning at a high level and pushes them out of their comfort zone. These are the people who will succeed.
  4. People will fail – Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to keep up with an Excellence environment and that will mean some will fail and quit. It happens in life, and its unfortunate.

As an Emerging Leader and Teacher I am going to start reading the book of Nehemiah because its focuses on Leadership using biblical principles. I can’t wait to embark on this book because it will teach me some really valuable lessons I’m sure.

Question: What’s the Atmosphere that you are creating as a Leader?

My Vision: As a Professional Entrepreneur, my vision is to help others market themselves online to build GOD focused Organizations. It’s all about Creating a tribe of Entrepreneurs that love the Lord, their families, and seeing others succeed.

I went to work harder on myself than I did on my Job, and went from Darkness to light. I spend my days Consulting, Teaching, informing, & Learning. Love the book of Nehemiah, God has been teaching me so much through that book over the past year! Can’t wait to hear what God reveals to you through it.

Your post brings a mixture of emotions to mind, mainly because my spouse and I are praying through a difficult situation right now in regards to some around us who do not want to grow. They have accepted the status quo and are okay with it. We are not sure if God wants us to spur them on or if God is moving us away from them and into a different environment. Perhaps we are not the instruments God will use to motivate those hearts. Things we are praying through right now.

Hey TC. What I have found is that sometimes God uses you through your actions and not your words/guidance. You may not be aware of it, but those same individuals maybe watching your walk, your lifestyle, your every move. You will be surprised by how much we impact people by limiting our words and just doing.

It may not be your job right now to spur them on verbally, but maybe your actions will.

Very True Lee, thanks for the encouragement. I really appreciate it!

Lee, great comment and suggestion. Actions always speak louder than words and you truly helped with your encouraging words today. Truly enjoyed your comment and contribution to this post. Yours is a valued voice.

TC, let GOD speak to you on this one. Nobody ever wants to loose friends because they truly help foster growth if you are on the same page. If not, all you can do is to continue to pray and seek guidance on how to proceed. Yes I am excited to see where GOD is Leading me through this book in his word. Be encouraged.

Thanks Lincoln, I know God is leading us, I have confidence in HIM.

I like your last four points Lincoln.

I am the kind that wanted to hold on to everyone, inspite of changing dynamics. It’s never easy to let go but then its often necessarily.

on the last point (people will fail) i find that there are those who fail but instead of quitting, stand and up and continue with the team.

Great thoughts here. I admire your focus.

Ngina, thanks! The focus for Excellence can appear like your ignoring others but it’s not. It’s focus, dedication and prayer. Yes sometimes you have to move on and it’s not to be tough but to stick to the goals you have set for yourself and family. Thanks for stopping by.

    Lincoln,

Great points. I love your focus on humility. I have learned that is an incredibly attractive quality as well. It truly breaks down relational barriers and allows people to take risk.

    Keep up the great work!

I hope I’m creating an atmosphere that shows others I care and value them. I have seen if a person has and sets high standard then they attract the same type of people while detracting people with low standard.

What a great book to learn leadership lessons from.If you have not read this post by me about Nehemiah and what a leader can learn before embarking on a project then you might enjoy reading it, http://wp.me/p1waA2-jX
