5 ways to live your passion despite your circumstances

What is your passion? This video picks up a little bit from a previous post last week called Zombies in Corporate America. I speak briefly about being passionate about what you do and live a life that is full and vibrant and what God put you on this earth to do. If you have read my previous post you have the content of this video.

Question: Do you have a hidden talent that you are not using? If so, share it with us.

About Lincoln R Parks

I am a Traditional and Non-Traditional Business owner. I made the transition from Corporate cubicle to Home office. I went to work harder on myself than I did on my Job, and went from Darkness to light. I spend my days Consulting, Teaching, informing, & Learning. God has given me a spirit of Humility and a mind for Business, so I use that ability to reach others.

I don’t know if it’s a problem on my end, but I’m not seeing the video, Lincoln. No big deal, just wanted you to know.

Thanks for pointing this out Loren. I must have been sleepy when I did this. I was able to get it working. Let me know if it works for you now. Thanks a bunch!

Love the passion! You said a word that stuck out at the beginning of your post; “conform.” Society has painted a picture of the ideal person and pressures us to color in the lines with our lives… I’m like you. I threw their paint brush away and decided to paint my life the way I wanted. It is a hard thing to do; to walk away from a comfort level. The hardest things are almost always the best things. God gives us independence to this world. Our dependence is on Him and He will provide the strength, protection, and provision. We only need to use the gifts of free will and faith provided by Him.

Floyd we are definitely brothers from different mothers. The word conform is what most people do once their dreams are pushed down. God placed those talents in us if you are not using them take them out and dust them off.

It’s essential to be working in areas of purpose, talents, and passions. Even if we can’t during work we should make it a point to be working in those areas and moving toward our dreams during our time off. Great video and thoughts!

Yes Dan that’s what the strengths finder 2.0 taught me. Thanks for recommending that book. it showed me where my strengths were and how to zone in on them.

I can’t tell you what a difference working in an area I am passionate about has made in my life…and if we aren’t getting that we need to chase it down no matter our circumstances. Great stuff!

Tom, doesn’t it feel great when you know you are purposefully living out what God has intended for you. If it were not, it would not be in your heart. Could you see yourself doing anything else but what you love?

        Definitely not!

so many put band aides on problems, ignoring the symptoms of what’s really wrong.

I like that you mentioned asking God questions. God isn’t intimidated by our questions or angry when we question things. He longs to reveal His will for our lives. A relationship is about communicating, asking questions is part of that.

We must ask God and ourselves questions in order to grow.
