3 Leadership Lessons I learned from a Princess bible

Ok, so the title of the post is not the most SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly post but its the truth. Over this past weekend I was reading to my daughter from her Princess bible. The bible is pink and talks about all the princesses in the bible and how they were real life princesses from biblical terms. My daughter knows she is a princess, but the one’s I want her to emulate must come from the bible.  So here is what I learned;

As I stated, I am a novice in the bible as I am still Learning but I could not deny the Leadership lessons that I learned from a princess bible no less. So if you are leading a team or are beginning to lead a team you should take these three lessons into consideration because I am definitely going to put them to good use.

  1. You can’t Lead a team alone – It must be done together as one unit. You can only get to certain levels alone and if you try to do it alone your foundation will crumble as it core.
  2. You must have courage – If you believe in something you must put your all into it. You must have the courage to continue to move forward.
  3. You must learn to adapt to change – This is hard for most leaders. Adapting to change means that you have to take on new responsibilities and try new things.

I know in our Network Marketing Organization teamwork is critical to making it all work. It’s a volunteer army.

Question: How can you effectively Lead a team? What tips can you share?

Our Vision Statement : To help others market themselves online, and build GOD focused Organizations, by creating a tribe of passionate Network Marketing Entrepreneurs that love the Lord, their families, and others.

I have read that, but I hadn’t put this much thought into it- thanks for teaching me today!

Number 3 is challenging to me. I think because sometimes I don’t want to take more responsibility, but I have to remember it’s not about what I want but what God wants. If God is leading me, He will provide the ability and strength to take on more responsibility.

TC, anytime that I can teach you anything from the Bible I feel like a scholar :-) No seriously, I am learning so much and how the bible contains all of the questions any of us have pertaining to Leadership, Family, and circumstances.

With #3 just listen to God’s voice. If he is pushing you to take on more responsibility then do so. He will definitely be your provider. Thanks for sharing this with me. Such a great servant of God and yet so humble.

The Bible really does provide all we need if we will take the time to read it. Sadly so many do not.

I love learning. I love it when God uses people to reveal new meanings to His word.

Thanks for being a great servant of God! Enjoying your vlogs! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words and I am seeing this now that God has everything in his bible for us. I will continue serving him no matter what.

I love making the vlogs, makes me express myself on camera and I hope to allow people to connect with me on a more personal level.

It is more personal. Your accent reminds me of getting married in Jamaica.

Wow didn’t know you were married in Jamaica. So cool.

Princess Bible sounds pretty cool, where do you pick one up?

    • http://www.lincolnparks.com Lincoln Parks

We found it at a Christian book store in our area. But I saw it online on amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Princess-Stories-HB-Larsen-Carolyn/dp/1414348118 and it’s not an affiliate link. I just copied and pasted it.

One lesson I’m learning is to check your pride as a leader, it just gets in the way!

    • http://www.lincolnparks.com Lincoln Parks

Kimanzi it’s easy for that to happen. Thanks for sharing on how easy it is for pride to kick in.

‘Getting ‘me’ out of the way’ – Wish there was a pill for that! ;) It’s something I have to keep on working on.

    • http://www.lincolnparks.com Lincoln Parks

Ngina, you are not alone as I get in my own way many times. How do you get out of it?

      • http://intentionaltoday.com/ Ngina Otiende
